In 2000 Javier Garcia established the traditional Spanish restaurant, Curator's House located in the Botanic Gardens.

While the restaurant was under repair following the Christchurch earthquake, he he took the opportunity to focus on his passion for charcuteria, winning Cuisine Artisan Award 2013 for his fresh chorizo.

To compliment this, Javier  imports a range of everyday & artisan products sharing  his taste of Spain at Curator's Deli

just across the road in the neighbouring Arts Centre.
